Job Description

    Openshift Cluster Management InternshipWork on managing services on top of OpenShift by Red Hat which is an open source container application platform based on top Kubernetes container cluster manager for enterprise application development and deployment. The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer to join the OpenShift Cluster Manager team.In this role, you will develop new features and maintain our OpenShift customer services. Well need you to have excellent technical and communication skills, as youll work closely with developers both within Red Hat and in the open source community. What you will do
    • Play an active part in developing various projects around OpenShift Customer services that allows customers and System Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to manage their OpenShift clusters
    • Be responsible for our product quality, participate in peer code reviews, continuous integration (CI) and delivery (CD), respond to security threats
    • Coordinate with team leads, architects and other engineers on product design and architecture
    • Work with our Red Hats global customer support team and partner support teams in resolving customer issues
    What you will bring
    • Currently enrolled in a BSc or MSc degree program with up to 1.5 year(s) of studies remaining before graduation
    • Knowledge in one or more high level programming languages, like Go, Python, Java, C/C++
    • Ability to learn quickly, and to produce quality work with a high level of attention to detail
    • Proficient written and verbal English communication skills
    The following are considered a plus:
    • Open source development experience Familiarity with container-related technologies (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.)
    • Familiarity with virtualization, cluster, or distributed systems Ops or SRE background
