Job Description

An exciting opportunity to work in the ever-changing Telecommunication Industry. As a member of People Experience Safety & Security (PE S&S) Operations APJ & India, for our People organization, you will be a part of a team whose objectives are to deliver in an environment where openness, trust and autonomy are encouraged, each team member performs the tasks to work on and exchanges daily with his/her team mates on the progress and challenges.What you will learn and contribute toAs the People Experience Safety & Security (PE S&S) Manager for Korea, you will:

  • Manage the delivery of its services across all of Nokia Korea operations.
  • Ensure that Nokia is a safe workplace for everyone working for, or on behalf, of Nokia.
  • Responsible for leading and facilitating the implementation of Nokia s safety and security standards across all of Nokia s operations including their localization to reflect local legal and business specific requirements in line with all mandated Occupational Health and Safety Act and Severe Accident Punishment Act (SAPA) that applies for Nokia within Korea.
  • Manage entire process which is not limited to provide close and active guidance to the stakeholders within the Business Group (BG) the implementation of Nokia s safety standards but extended to execute end to end process with autonomy.
  • Ensure compliance to the local environmental regulations, industry best practices and corporate social responsibilities
  • Understand and apply Global HSE strategies and Programs and ensures their implementation across all Nokia operations in Korea.
  • Have overall responsibility for driving overall compliance of Nokia Korea operations to the mandated Occupational Health and Safety Act of Korea and all applicable health and safety requirements of Korea including Nokia safety and security standards implementation across all BGs and support functions in Korea.
Your skills and experienceYou have:
  • Certifications related to Health & Safety, preferably Engineer Industrial Safety license
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; adept at interacting with and influencing a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • A passion for and technical knowledge of Health & Safety program management combined with a high level of personal integrity to do the right thing in relation to Health & Safety
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Korean languages
It would be nice if you also had:
  • Broad Safety & Security technical knowledge
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity particularly in the area of crisis management
  • International experience and mature cultural awareness
  • Co-operative team player and team leader
  • Able to distinguish and operate at both strategic levels and at task levels
  • Ability and willingness for frequent short notice international travel
