Job Description

    The Plant Manager willoversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. They develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivityWhat is the role of a plant manager in FMCG Plant Managers, or Plant Operatorssupervise all phases of plant operations, including production, maintenance and receiving. They are responsible for the capital improvement and physical upkeep of the plant. They work closely with the production team to increase profitability and production in the manufacturing plant.
    • Coordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to ensure Business Unit goals are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    • Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
    • Ensure the adherence of Good Manufacturing Practices.
    • Advise management of the status of work-in-progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure materials and services are provided as needed.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans and programs to support sales, revenue growth and profitability goals for the business.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures, providing resources and training.
    • Oversee employee hiring, training, development, and management, providing guidance to leadership teams.
    • Regular evaluation for the assessment of employee performance
    • Develop performance and efficiency metrics, identifying areas for improvement and reporting results to management.
    • To control the production wastage and ensure maximum efficiency
    • To monitor the utilities and track the maintenance.
