Job Description

    Designation: Principal Investigator Job Location: Bangalore Department: Chemical Development Process R&D About Syngene Syngene International Ltd. Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform Literature search using tools such as SciFinder, Journal search and patent search.
    • Arrive at possible routes for the chemical synthesis of the desired target.
    • Understand tech pack and relevant information provided by customer and provide quality solution/response in the proposal.
    • Prepare costing sheet as per standard template considering scalability and safety.
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams such as supply chain, analytical, QC/QA, PRD, Manufacturing, PE/PS to complete the costing sheet as per agreed on turnaround time.
    • List down questions and clarifications that need to be shared with customer for preparing the proposal.
    • Communicate with customers for RFP.
    • Participate in audioconferences with customer for RFP related interactions.
    • Organize and store costing sheet, proposals and relevant data in MS Teams/Sharepoint for future reference.
    • Mentor L8/9 staff for preparing proposals.
    Educational Qualification & Experience :
    • Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from premier institutes in India or abroad, with post-doctoral experience in US/EU/Japan.
    • Over 9 12 years of Industrial experience in the fields of custom synthesis, agrochemicals, Intermediates and Process R&D, preferably with global exposure.
    Technical/functional Skills:
    • Fundamental synthetic organic chemistry knowledge with an ability to propose synthetic routes rapidly that is safe and scalable.
    • Retrosynthesis in the absence of literature.
    • Excellent process development skills to arrive at a process that is scalable in the kg scale.
    • Ability to envision what would work on scale for a given process
    • Basic understanding of Process Engineering/Process Safety
    • Good knowledge in process analytical chemistry
    • Proposing development plan for fit to purpose development studies.
    • Logical thinking and attention to details.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
