Job Description

    Lead the Discovery Analytical Team (LCMS, NMR and purification) at Syngene Amgen Research and Development Centre (SARC). Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of this position include development of chromatographic methods and processes for the analysis and purification of small molecules to support synthetic chemistry efforts. Utilization of a diverse set of instruments and technologies, such as (but not limited to) HPLC, SFC-MS, HPLC-MS, mass-directed purification and preparative SFC. Lead the DAS teams and take care of subordinate development. Actively participate in research efforts directed at improving process efficiencies, expanding the range of assays and applications and improving technologies and infrastructure, from conceptualizing to experimental design through implementation. Adherence to all operating procedures and other laboratory practices including corrective and preventive actions and calibrations as and where applicable Effective communication with Discovery Chemistry Analytical R&D group leaders, Discovery chemistry team and to attend clients telecon regularly to resolve their analytical related queries. Giving technical inputs and coordinating with the document team personnel for the preparation of documents. Maintenance DI and prepare Auditable documents & product traceability. Experience: We are looking for candidates with a MSc/PhD and up to 10- 15 years of experience (or similar) with an emphasis in analytical chemistry. A working knowledge of LC-MS is necessary. Practical experience with SFC is highly valued. Familiarity with NMR is a plus. Leadership qualities such as excellent communication skills and an ability to perform in teams are also essential for this position. Educational Qualification:MSc/Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry / Organic ChemistryTechnical/functional Skills: Should be familiar with analytical method development using NMR, SFC, LCMS and Preparative HPLC/ SFC.
