Job Description

    Job descriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesSM Project ManagementGeneral InformationRole:New Initiatives (PM)Grade:Reporting To:AVP Project ManagementBusiness Function:SupportReporting (Span):Matrix Reporting To:Role PurposeThe role of the Project Manager- New Initiatives will be to support and lead the product and project initiatives with disciplined and structured project management practices and procedures.The role holder will be responsible for driving strategic projects on time, on budget and achieving results, often within a complex and changing internal/external business environment.The role holder will be required to work in a highly collaborative environment with strong process and project management skills and will need to coordinate relationships across multiple functional areas, third-party providers and regional teams.Key Responsibilities:
    • oProject Management for New Initiatives/Ongoing Projects (50% Weightage)
    • oStrategy Design and Implementation (10% Weightage)
    • Manage the agile scrum process across the Product/Feature Development Process for multiple project teams
    • Establishes project plans that include key milestones, release dates of cross-product team /third party dependencies
    • Proactively addresses delivery team issues resolve blockers
    • Tracks and Reports on all sprint efficiency metrics; documents best practices and actionable observations; monitors health of sprint
    • In partnership with Company Management, establishes agenda and facilitates kickoff new project teams, quarterly road map pillar reviews, and other important meetings
    • Establishes all project artifacts using PMO templates and checklists
    • Works with team to size stories/requirements building a reliable team velocity that enables the team to build the estimation skill-set
    • Conduct Retrospective at the sprint level to drive continuous improvement
    • Maintains any Project Management documents posted to the wiki; archive when required.
    • May perform Pillar Lead support functions specific to Road map Cadence and Capacity Planning.
    • Works with tech/product leaders to establish project structure in company used tool.
    • Defining work strategies, aligning these with resources and desired client outcomes, and overseeing the planning and execution of the work
    • Ensuring technology solutions are managed to support business strategies, often working with senior management
    • Directing the integration of technical aspects of all related projects/programs
    • Conducting analyses needs assessments, and cost/benefit assessments and helping to broker other technology services.
    • Support in defining strategic blueprint and key initiatives to be undertaken by bringing key insights and trade-offs to the table
    • Identifies, clarifies and communicates project vision, goals and objectives and how these tie into, support or impedes organizational strategic objectives
    • Researching and implementing the best project management tools and techniques in the execution of existing and future projects
    • oOperation Management: (20% Weightage)
    • MISing as per internal protocols
    • Coordinate and oversee the work of third-party service providers for the smooth conduct of the project
    • Coordinate with local government authorities, if required, for the smooth conduct of the project
    • Assist with on-site audit as required by project Compliance
    • Coordinate with other team members, as required, for the smooth conduct of the project
    • At a time, single or multiple projects may be assigned depending on current workload but within reasonable working hours
    • oHelpdesk Management: (20% Weightage)
    • Ensure the Help Desk team is monitoring Help Desk ticketing system and electronic mail software for incoming tickets and updates to existing tickets
    • Ensure that the response of Help Desk ticket items occurs, that it is timely, and that all tasks are tracked and allocated properly
    • Support all Tier 2 activities
    • Responsible for the response and execution of incoming service requests
    • Prioritization of service requests and enhancement requests
    • Proactively act on the shift toward a Service Desk model where self-service is the center point
    • Lead and facilitate all team meetings
    • Work directly with Operations Manager and Product Owners for addressing tickets and their priorities
    • Facilitate continuous improvement within the environment
    • High degree of competency and experience with project management including issue and risk identification and management, tracking dependencies and milestones, and communication of overall project status
    • Ability to creatively solve challenging business/technology problems
    • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic and complex environment
    • Passion for customer service
    • Strong communicator that has the ability to work without direct supervision or detailed direction
    • Client friendliness with the ability to build and maintain trusting and value-added client relationships
    • Experience with using and managing Help Desk ticketing systems
