Job Description

    Job Overview: As a Sales & Operational Planning Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and aligning our sales and operational activities to ensure efficient production, optimal inventory levels, and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, production, procurement, and finance, to develop and execute effective sales and operational plans. Your expertise will drive improvements in demand forecasting, capacity planning, inventory management, and customer order fulfilment.Responsibilities:
    1. Develop and implement sales and operational planning strategies and processes to meet company goals and objectives.
    2. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to gather sales forecasts and market trends, ensuring accurate and timely data for demand planning.
    3. Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to generate accurate demand forecasts and identify potential risks or opportunities.
    4. Work closely with production and procurement teams to align manufacturing capabilities, capacity planning, and raw material requirements with forecasted demand.
    5. Monitor inventory levels, identifying excess or shortage risks, and propose appropriate actions to optimize inventory management.
    6. Coordinate cross-functional meetings to review and adjust sales and operational plans based on changing market conditions, sales performance, and supply chain constraints.
    7. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate order management, including order entry, order confirmation, and customer delivery commitments.
    8. Continuously improve the sales and operational planning process by implementing best practices, developing KPIs, and leveraging data analytics tools.
    9. Identify and resolve any conflicts between demand and supply, proposing solutions to minimize disruptions and meet customer requirements.
    10. Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, demand forecasts, inventory levels, and operational metrics to senior management.
    Qualifications:
    1. Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
    2. Proven 8yrs experience in sales and operational planning within the manufacturing industry.
    3. In-depth knowledge of demand forecasting methodologies, capacity planning, and inventory management.
    4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyses complex data sets.
    5. Proficiency in using sales and operational planning software and data analytics tools.
    6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    7. Strong problem-solving abilities with the aptitude to handle unexpected challenges and propose innovative solutions.
    8. Detail-oriented mind-set with a focus on accuracy and precision.
    9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
    Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
