Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join ERM India as a Senior Consultant Biodiversity and Ecology.Responsibilities:

  • Biodiversity and Ecosystem Service Baseline Assessments, Impact Assessment, Development of Mitigation and Management Plans (for both regulatory, MDB and Client driven projects) in compliance to performance Standards such as IFC PS and ADB SPS .
  • The candidate will work with team members on the above and ensure compliance to existing protocols for carrying out the above.
  • The candidate will also assist in developing proposals for other members of the BU in response to requests from clients.
  • The candidate will also participate in all strategy planning exercises, capacity building initiatives and initiatives to adopt innovative technologies to further Biodiversity and Ecosystem Service Baseline Assessments, Impact Assessment, Development of Mitigation and Management Plans.
  • The candidate will also support the Technical Director in carrying out statistical and ecological modelling where necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors and Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences with specialization in Biodiversity and ecology.
  • frequent travel to project sites, usually for short durations, but in some cases, for moderate or longer durations.
  • Mobilization to project sites may be needed without much advance notice.
  • The candidate should also display willingness to deliver products of adequate quality within short time frames.
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Excellent English communication skills- both written and Oral
  • Knowledge of MS office- word, ppt, excel
  • Manage client relationship and do some part of Business Development activity.
  • Manage a team of members, should have managed a team in the past.
