Job Description

    Senior Principal Product Marketing Manager, RHEL Cloud Go-To-MarketIn this role, you will understand how and why end customers use Red Hat Enterprise Linux, as well as how and why they purchase via the public cloud route. You will have knowledge around buying programs and models such as committed spend programs, as well as discounting and driving consumption. In addition, you will have an understanding of the various partner models (resell, sell with, sell through, etc.), as well as the motivations and strategies of public cloud providers.As a Senior Principal Product Marketing Manager, you will work cross-functionally and globally with numerous teams, including Product Management, Product Marketing, Technical Marketing, Partner Management, Field Marketing, Channel Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and Services. You will work with these various teams to develop the go-to-market strategy for Red Hat Enterprise Linux in the Public Cloud, as well as monitor and report on how this business is performing.You also will conduct market research, craft marketing strategies, and develop content to support demand generation and enable field sales and Red Hat channel partners. You ll be in charge of developing, communicating, and implementing a compelling go-to-market plan. As such, youll interpret customer needs, develop compelling messaging, and spend time in front of customers and partners. What you will do
    • Collaborate with various stakeholders in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Business Unit to develop the go-to-market strategy for Red Hat Enterprise Linux in the Public Cloud
    • Work with the product management teams to ensure the go-to-market strategy for Red Hat Enterprise Linux in the Public Cloud aligns with and supports product roadmap and releases of new Red Hat Enterprise Linux offerings in the Public Cloud
    • Work with other Product Marketing Managers to create marketing materials and plans to support the go-to-market strategy for Red Hat Enterprise Linux in the Public Cloud
    • Support engagements where required in high-touch accounts worldwide by collaborating with field sales and services teams
    • Work with alliance and ecosystem partners to develop joint value propositions
    • Develop and deliver enablement and training activities for Sales, Pre-sales, and Professional Services teams and partners
    • Collaborate with other product teams to create multi-product/solution marketing materials that address customer use cases and pain points
    What you will bring
    • 5+ years of Product Marketing experience; product management or sales experience is a big plus
    • 3+ years experience working at a Public Cloud Provider such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
    • 10+ years of software industry experience, preferably within an area of infrastructure software, e.g. operating systems (Linux preferred), virtualization, cloud, or systems management
    • Domain knowledge and experience with open source projects a plus
    • Experience in marketing to mid-market accounts a plus
    • Bachelor s degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related area; MBA is preferred
    • A track record of success in a fast-paced technical environment
    • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Ability and experience working in an inspirational, influence-driven, cross-functional environment
    • Ability to be meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks at once in a highly complex environment
    • Ability to communicate the technical value proposition for our offerings and promote our solutions internally and externally
    • Willingness to travel (minimum 25% especially if remote)
