Job Description

    • Overall adherence to safe practices and procedures of oneself and the teams aligned

    • Ensure all assigned mandatory trainings related to data integrity, health, and safety measures are completed on time by all members of the team including self
    • Compliance to Syngene s quality standards at all times
    • Hold self and their teams accountable for the achievement of safety goals
    • Govern and Review safety metrics from time to time
    Role Purpose: Team Lead for Polymer Projects, Project Update and Effective Communication to Client, Lead the polymer programs, Take leadership for safe lab practices, Key Responsibilities:
    • This position will be reporting to the Principal Investigator with direct reports leading a team of MSc level scientists (freshers & experienced)
    • Knowledge base in various polymerization techniques, polymer chemistry & technology, polymer characterisation
    • Willing to learn new polymerization techniques like anionic, cationic polymerization and apply them in the projects
    • Guide and train junior scientists in polymerization and other laboratory techniques
    • Strategic planning and execution of R&D and scale up projects
    • Ensure the technical and financial deliverables of the team
    • Act as an expert for polymerization chemistry, process scale up and problem solving
    • Foster a corporate culture that promotes an environment, occupational health, safety, and sustainability (EHSS) mindset as well as the highest standards of quality, integrity, and compliance.
    • Put people at the heart of our success by providing clear, active leadership defined by the Syngene leadership framework setting high standards of people management, career planning and talent retention as a priority.
    • Interact with customers on various project deliverables and convert the customer CTQs to actionable items
    • Hands on experience on polymer analytical techniques and polymer processing will be an added advantage
    • Effective communication with customer, efficient handling and managing of the polymer projects
    • Manage day-to day affairs of the lab including
      • Literature search
      • Idea generation
      • Proof of concept
      • Process development and scale-up
      • Proper documentation
      • Client Update
    Educational Qualification : Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from premier institutes in India or abroad, with at least 6 -10 years of industrial experience in the fields of Polymer synthesis and projects preferably with global client exposure. Experience: 6 - 9 years Technical/Functional Skills:
    • Polymer chemist, analysis of polymers,
    • new idea generation, effective communication skills with clients, project, and people management
    • safety leadership, strategic thinking and business support, interpersonal skill etc.
