Founded by an engineer, with a passion for Indian handicrafts and dedication towards creating and curating vintage quality products.As the Senior Retail Planner/Merchandise Planner, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing optimal inventory levels, ensuring the availability of saleable and non-saleable products, and maximizing sales across various channels. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting detailed inventory analysis, and employing strong analytical skills to drive business growth.What you will do:Inventory Management: Reviewing and analyzing inventory on an ongoing basis. Setting and adjusting inventory thresholds to optimize stock levels.Sales & Inventory Analysis: Performing sales and inventory analysis to meet business plan numbers. Identifying and forecasting lost sales opportunities due to out-of-stock items. Generating detailed reports on stock positions and sales trends.Product Management: Placing opening orders for new products and bestsellers. Providing demand planning and order projections to support purchasing decisions. Proposing sales and liquidation strategies for overstock items.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating closely with marketing and pricing teams to ensure optimum inventory levels. Working with e-commerce, customer service, and marketing departments to align inventory strategies. Communicating estimated time of arrival (ETA) on inventory status and backorders.Information and Data Integrity: Identifying and resolving informational and inventory discrepancies. Maintaining data accuracy and consistency in inventory management systems.Sales Maximization: Maximize sales and sell-through across different channels. Analyzing sales data to provide reports and proposals for driving future sales growth.Catalog Management: Reviewing the size-wise availability of the product catalog and take necessary actions to ensure a balanced assortment.In-Season Sales Projection: Projecting in-season sales and track open-to-buy purchase budgets. Visual Merchandising Support: Collaborating with the Visual Merchandising team to ensure maximum sell-through on the website.What you need to have:Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience in the fashion industry is a plus. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Experience in demand planning and inventory management. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Prior experience in retail operations. Proficiency in Advanced Excel Functions, Pivot Tables, and MIS reporting.
