Job Description

    Software Engineer - Ruby on Rails and JavaScript
    • Contribute features and bug fixes to upstream projects like Foreman and Katello
    • Review and test contributions from community members
    • Demonstrate contributions in upstream community demos
    • Support the downstream hardening and productization of upstream projects for the Red Hat Satellite offerings
    • Support upstream community users, internal users, and customers
    What you will bring
    • Software development skills using Ruby on Rails or modern JavaScript frameworks like ES6, React, and Redux
    • Experience with automated testing tools like Enzyme, Jest, RSpec, MiniTest, etc.
    • Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or other collaborative code forges
    • Ability to develop and deploy software on Linux
    • Desire to participate in open source development communities and to make a difference in the world
    The following are considered a plus:
    • Experience with various configuration management tools like Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
    • Experience with bare metal and virtual provisioning, operating system provisioning, and provisioning of cloud containers
    • Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams
