Job Description

If you re ambitious, driven and team-spirited, this is your opportunity to build a career as a Testing and Commissioning Engineer cum in-charge.About the role:The Commissioning Leader shall carry out safely and in a timely fashion commissioning of vehicle, equipment and systems in accordance with processes and approved procedures, to ensure functionality, integration to the system/railway and compliance to standards, regulation and local law. The Commissioning leader shall ensure documented modifications are implemented efficiently. The Commissioning leader shall ensure all commissioning results (including modifications) are adequately recorded and reported, including identification of non-conformities, defects, and workmanship issues, in designated tools (e.g.: Maximo). The commissioning leader shall ensure the as commissioned configuration is adequately recorded in designated tool and non-conformity raised for missing information/designation. The commissioning leader shall ensure that team members have the proper credentials, training and supervision for the intended works. The commissioning leader is accountable for the safety of team leaded and will conducted work planning, pre-work safety brief, post work debrief and escalate matters as required.Key Responsibilities :

  • Participates in the project preparation
  • Prepares commissioning (including modifications) activities, e.g. documents, document binder, time tables, test areas, records, tools, etc.
  • Conduct/lead pre work brief and post work de-brief
  • Supervises commissioning activities on the vehicle, equipment and systems
  • Verifies commissioning records are approved
  • Ensures work is carried out according to local site rules
  • Implements and enforces HSE requirements on site with the support of HSE team representatives
  • Ensure team members have the proper credentials, training and supervision for the intended works
  • Writes fault reports whenever necessary
  • Reports progress to Work Package Responsible / Site Manager
  • Verifies the system and writes commissioning reports
  • Ensure all commissioning data is adequately recorded in BT designated tool(s) (e.g.:Maximo)
Qualifications & Functional Knowledge-
  • Bachelor in (Electrical & Electronics engineering)/ Diploma in (Electrical & Electronics/ Mechanical)
Relevant experience required
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in railway/Metro Domain
  • Capable and willing to learn
  • Basic command of the English language and good communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and to time constraints
  • Positive thinking and a good attitude to work
Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role
  • Microsoft office suite
