Job Description

    1. Trademark searches: Conducting searches in the Indian Trademark Registry to ensure that the proposed trademark is available for registration and does not conflict with existing trademarks.
    2. Trademark filings: Assisting in the preparation and filing of trademark applications with the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks (CGPDTM) in India.
    3. Documentation: Preparing necessary documentation, such as Power of Attorney forms and Declarations, required for trademark filings.
    4. Correspondence: Communicating with clients, trademark attorneys, and government authorities regarding the status of trademark applications, responding to office actions, and other related matters.
    5. Record-keeping and maintenance: Maintaining records of trademark applications, registrations, and renewals, and ensuring compliance with deadlines for filing renewals.
    6. Trademark portfolio management: Managing clients trademark portfolios, including tracking deadlines for renewals, assignments, and changes in ownership or address.
    7. Trademark enforcement: Assisting in monitoring the market for potential trademark infringements and gathering evidence for enforcement actions, such as sending cease-and-desist letters or initiating legal proceedings.
    8. Research and analysis: Conducting legal research on trademark law, regulations, and precedents to support attorneys in advising clients on trademark-related matters.
