About the opportunityDepartment DescriptionThe Technology function provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, investment, compliance, finance, legal, marketing and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day to day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation. The Central team comprises systems development and support specialists that provide support to departments such as HR Services, Finance, Corporate Services, Legal and Compliance, Risk and Technology across various geographic locations. The services include Production Support of in-house developed application and vendor provided products, small scale enhancements and product.Job DescriptionThe position is for an experienced Functional Testing resource in the Central Technology team and will primarily be responsible for liaising with the development and business teams to script and execute effective and efficient Functional/Systems Integration Testing on any BPM tools (K2 preferred) and SharePoint platform .his will involve creation, execution and Maintaining of all functional and non-functional testing activities, including developing functional test suites for:
• Functional Test Scenarios/Execution for various modules
• Existing Integrations that will be updated as part of this implementation
Key Responsibilities
• Liaising directly with Testing team, Business or process owner to develop strong understanding of the business process and Integration requirements.
• Should be owning the functional and technical aspects of a solution end to end from testing aspects . Based on the understanding he / she should be able to write rigorous test cases through JIRA and getting the same approved via business .
• Liaison with Developers in the provision of test services for SharePoint and K2 based solutions.
• Create well defined and re-usable functional test suites for Integrations.
• Assisting in the creation and being responsible for the application of Testing standards, process, procedure and methodology across projects.
• Execution of test cases in timely, efficient and organised way.
• Accurately reporting test preparation and execution progress to the test lead
• Promote the principles of good testing, transferring skills to other team members as appropriate.
• Maintain a current working knowledge of the key business systems and future developments.
• Conduct or actively participate in Triage calls and Root cause analysis meetings
• Be an effective team player and share the knowledge within the team
Experience and QualificationsTechnical SkillsEssential Skills:
• B.E./B.Tech/MBA/M.C.A/Any other Bachelor s Degree.
• At least 2.5-4 years of experience into Manual and automation testing
• Excellent Manual Testing Skills
• At least 3 year of experience working with the intranet based projects preferably SharePoint/Office 365 and business process automation tools such as K2, Appian, Pega etc..
• Experience in UI Testing (CSS)
• Good domain understanding of BPM processes (Finance , HR , Tech etc) and SharePoint and Office -365
• Hands on experience of Automation Testing
• Ability to liaise with a number of stakeholders in application development and business groups
• Ability to run end to end test cycles and coordinate with business for the same
• Ability to think from a customer viewpoint and to understand the complexities of the business
• Experience of working with AGILE methodologies and tools like JIRA and other Atlassian suite of products
• Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams.
• Ability to accurately log defects, escalate issues and risks.
• Be able to demonstrate consistent and good judgement of assessing severity of issues.
• Ability to think from a customer viewpoint and to understand the complexities of the business.
• Exposure to Office -365 .
