Job Description

Editorialist YX fuses personal styling, content, and shopping in one seamless digital experience driven by proprietary technology, e-commerce tools, and luxury fashion content. We are a dynamic start up with amazing perks where employees feel accepted, valued, and have a sense of belonging!Responsibilities :Design, architect, build, high quality front end features for editorialist.com - a content and e-commerce marketplace websiteWork closely with the design team to take the visual elements to seo-friendly deployable website elementsTuning the website performance for a high google web vitals scoreWriting high-quality code, unit/integration test cases, using CI/CD pipelines , performing code reviewsSkills and Qualifications

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
  • Proficient understanding of browser-side scripting and at least one JavaScript framework ( React.js , angular.js , jQuery etc.)
  • Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
  • Experience in responsive web design to create applications that automatically conform to multiple screen sizes/devices.
  • Good understanding of front end web technologies, asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Experience in integrating the front-end elements to the back-end like PHP, Java, etc. via apis or server side.
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Experience in converting wireframes/mockups to usable website elements
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Webpack and NPM.
  • Analytical skills and ability to handle complex, modular software development in a collaborative team-based environment.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Excellent communication (English)
Good to have
  • Understanding of Git, SEO, CDN, browser dev tools, google page speed.
  • Experience with php language and a CMS framework like Wordpress
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in front end web development
