The successful candidate would join the Workplace Investment (WI) Testing Team. Candidate would be responsible for testing of all aspects of functionality on multi-platform, multi-client systems developed on varied platforms. The person would be responsible for the creation, execution and maintaining of all functional testing activities for the assigned project, including developing regression test suites for critical applications in the WI Technology world.Key ResponsibilitiesRoles and responsibilities include working both on functional and automation side. Creation and maintenance of Automation scripts using Automation tools/framework. Good exposure to API and web testing Good working experience in automation of Rest services using Rest Assured & selenium framework Responsible for Functional Testing, Review of development unit tests, Regression testing, System Integration testing, User acceptance testing, Database Testing for Workplace Investing team. Accountable for testing of apps covering the usability, accessibility, regression and automation aspects. Handling Day to Day activities of executing Test scripts and Test data preparation. Ensuring the 100% Test Coverage and quality of Test scripts/Scenarios. Execution of tests in efficient and organised way. Maintain a current working knowledge of the key business systems. Conduct detailed defect analysis after each testing phase to analyse correct root cause of defects. Think from a customer viewpoint and to understand the complexities of the business. Experience of working in tight deadlines in a mature complex testing environment. Be able to demonstrate consistent and good judgement of assessing severity of issues. Provide inputs to the Test Leads for Project closure activities. Design, prepare and execute medium / complex end to end test cases. Run testing workshops with various stakeholders to identify test requirements. Liaise with developers, business analysts and business users to derive test case information and identify appropriate test coverage. Work closely with the business throughout to ensure a successful outcome of testing. Compliance to agreed standards and processes Contribute to continuous improvement of testing standards, process, procedure and methodology. Manage testing of key large scale deliveries, reporting readiness, progress, and quality metrics to the Workplace Investing management team.Experience and QualificationsB.E./B.Tech/MBA/M.C.A/Any other bachelor s Degree. At least 5years of experience in Automation testing including the automation tools-Selenium (Selenium Web Driver), TestNg, Eclipse, and preparation of automation test framework, Test Complete. Experience in testing web based applications and automating web services. Hands on experience in building functional test automation suites for end user applications. Hands on experience to manage the requirement traceability with the test cases. Proven record of achievements in testing teams. Knowledge of Agile software development life-cycle methodologies.Essential Skills / ExperienceUnderstanding of automation test principles. Strong automation concepts and proven experience on multiple automation tools preferably Selenium / Test Complete. Strong SQL skills. Hands on experience in Version Control Software: SVN / GIT / Clear case etc. Project and Build Tools: Maven, ANT, Sonar Qube, Eclipse IDE, Jenkins, Thorough understanding of test principles such as unit, smoke, functional (black box/white box), user acceptance and usability testing. Must have worked as an established individual contributor and implemented best test practices in a complex technical environment. A proven background and track record of working in a testing environment within financial services and preferably in Pensions. Candidate must be familiar software testing techniques, test methodologies, test automation tools and frameworks Good knowledge of software development methodologies including agile model. Ability to understand functional specifications and design appropriate acceptance tests. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different levels of stakeholders in application delivery, QA and business groups Ability to estimate and present ROI calculation for automation initiatives. Ability to accurately log defects, escalate issues and risks and provide accurate management reporting. Experience of working in tight deadlines in a mature time-boxed testing environment Be able to demonstrate consistent and good judgement of assessing severity of issues.Desirable Skills / Experience Understanding of multi-tiered technology architecture / web, client server technologies. Experience of object oriented programming using languages such as Java. Experience in any configuration management tools. Knowledge of UK Pensions.,
