Adv. Analyst I, QA

Job Description

• We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute manual and automated tests to ensure product quality.
• QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review business requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Support/drive consistent, reliable and effective software testing and execution against the testing roadmap as defined by the project portfolio
• Act as SME to coordinate/lead QA activities & deliverables with business and development teams
• Partner with Technology teams to promote predictable, high quality software testing activities and results
• Support the project intake activities to identify quality objectives, estimate and support the approved work into the project portfolio (work breakdown, staffing and sourcing strategies, etc.)
• Participate in the design, creation, and execution of comprehensive test strategies/plans focusing on end to end testing and dependencies across projects/teams
• Analyze risks and propose mitigation approaches. Escalate issues to QA leadership
• Communicate quality testing status, issues and risks to business, Program managers and technology executive stakeholders
• Establish and maintain strong business and technology relationships
• Support use of standard tools, methodology and processes
• Share accountability with project teams while partnering to drive specific quality outcomes

Work Experience / Knowledge:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, business, or a related discipline is highly desired
• 8-10 years of quality management and testing experience
• Understanding of the Asset Management industry, funds products and process are desirable.
• Demonstrated experience with testing software and tools
• Ability to create and enhance automation test frameworks/environments
• Experienced with testing data, data warehouses, ETL and data mining in Cloud environment (AWS, Snowflake)
• Solid knowledge of SQL scripting
• Solid knowledge of Python scripting language
• Experienced in both waterfall and agile project delivery methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
• Experience with onshore/offshore QA team model, highly desired
