• We re a leading independent investment management firm seeking a globally minded Data Engineer to develop and innovate with our GPMR Technology team.
• In this role, you would be developing, constructing, testing and maintaining architectures such as databases and large-scale data repository/processing systems.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

• Work within a team of software developers and business analysts focused to deliver technical solutions to business partners
• Complete all tasks related to technical analysis, building and unit testing, quality assurance, system test and implementation in accordance with the IT development life cycle.
• Conform to documentation, coding and quality standards as defined.
• Understand architecture of applications in order to effectively troubleshoot problems and develop more efficient production processes.
• Prepare for and support user acceptance testing.
• Prepare all necessary documentation and processes to enable ongoing support of the systems.
• Handle critical issues from the support teams
• Should carry the on-call phone on a rotation basis.

Work experience / knowledge:

• 2 6 years of experience in Technology Industry.
• Very strong with DBMS and Data warehousing concepts
• Solid understanding of SQL Server/Postgresql
• Very strong SQL and Programming fundamentals
• Working with DevOps and Python is a plus

FORMAL EDUCATION: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

• Masters in Computer Science or other similar advanced degrees from IIT, IIIT and NIT

Working conditions:

• Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures
• The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary
• Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment
• Work hours will be from 11:30AM to 8:30 PM IST and may include evenings and/or weekends
• Should carry the on-call phone on a rotation basis
