Job Description

    Job summaryAmazon seeks a FinOps Specialist to join the AWS Finance Automation Reporting Management team (AFARM) based out of Hyderabad, India. The candidate will be responsible for creating month end close reports, dashboards and supporting processes for various AWS finance teams. Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to details and technical ability to implement report automation is a preferred requirement for this position.Key job responsibilities1. Primary responsibilities To transition and manage monthend close finance reporting using tools such as MS Excel, SQL, Tableau, IBM (TM1) Cognos, Oracle etc. Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation2. Proactively identify optimization and automation opportunities aiming towards reducing manual effort and increasing controllership. Should be able to work as / with automation experts.3. Provide data-driven analytics and support to business partners in identifying and resolving issues4. Drive a rigorous and proactive cadence of communications, keeping stakeholders informed on current statuses and engaged in key decisions. 5. Contribute towards preparation of monthly and quarterly business reviews on the program s performance.,
    • 4+ years of experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Experience interpreting data to make business recommendations
    1. A degree at the Bachelor level or higher with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.2. 8 - 10 years of demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas: finance operations, accounts payable and account receivables backend operations. 3. Experience in writing SQL Queries, creating Excel Macros, hands-on tools like PowerBI, Tableau4. Outstanding attention to detail, problem solving, and analytical skills5. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines6. The ability to effectively present to, and engage with, stakeholders at all organizational levels.7. Familiarity with financial systems such as Oracle, IBM (TM1) Cognos8. Good at handling of large amounts of complex data and comfortable in a data warehouse 1. Masters degree in a finance or business discipline2. Basic to intermediate level knowledge in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Python
