This is a hands-on role for a Senior developer to develop IT solutions for KYC application in State Street. The job entails implementing vendor products in State Street, building interfaces between financial applications in State Street and the vendor products to screen transactions and entities for Sanctions and AML. Person will also be expected to perform L4 production support and deployments in after business hours including evenings and weekends.This role is for a Senior ETL/Oracle developer with roughly 8 years relevant experience and strong experience in design, data modeling and development. Demonstrated skill in Oracle SQL and (preferably exadata) performance tuning. This includes work on developing database modules to support data integration in Oracle and on performance tuning of all ETL/DB Modules. Extensive ability in fine-tuning code to improve performance and experience in providing production support, trouble shooting of database applications. This role assumes a clear understanding of the advantages and challenges of working in a distributed team (follow the sun model) and of being able to lead such a team across analysis, development and support activities. Data warehouse concepts such as data modeling, dimensional modeling, star schema and snowflake schema, galaxy schema, data marts, dimensions and facts identification. A high degree of competency is required in shell/ perl scripting, Unix based scheduling tools (crontab/ autosys). Develop Utilities/Scripts using Unix shell/Python for ETL loads. Prior experience in data analytics projects with tools like COGNOS and OBIEE and hands-on experience of an ETL tool like datastage or infosphere would be a plus. Versatile team player with good communication and interpersonal skills and capable of directly interacting with business users and providing a clear explanation of any underlying problems to them. Ability to multi-task and be an energetic fast learner & problem solver, make effective decisions and manage change. Good understanding of technical trends, architectures and highly motivated to know more about latest technology, new software and products. Candidate will be working on building warehousing solutions across multiple corporate verticals including compliance, risk and regulatory space. In the role, establish architectural standards and guidelines and ensure their conformance by developers. Evaluate all emerging technologies and drive the adoption of applicable technologies within the group.,
