This position is responsible for the ongoing support of PBNA Site recovery and partner with network operations to ensure 24x7 availability. This person is also responsible for providing proactive insight and making strategic recommendations for site service improvement plan; ranging from bandwidth and equipment upgrades, through design changes in partnership with the Network engineering and technical architecture teams. Central to this role will be partnering with market operations leadership on defining strategic recommendations and roadmaps in line with business strategies. Accountabilities: Manage sector recovery governance partnering with network service providers and backline teams Develop and maintain a three-year network operational service improvement plan to drive investment and continuous improvement strategy Provide sector specific network operations requirements to Engineering and Architecture to support strategic businessIT initiatives and for budget planning Gather heat-maps and operations plans for data center networks, campus networks, and all WAN, LAN, and WLAN connectivity to formulate sector health heatmap. Monitor and analyze statistical data to develop improvement plans for network and application performance Provide an effective sector network capacity plan in partnership with Network Capacity team Develop and monitor sector weekly and monthly trending reports by business sectors to justify future growth Partner with end users and backline teams to drive standards for optimal network performance Provide tier-3 (expert level) operational recovery support to resolve critical business issues that require deep network troubleshooting techniques and performance analysis Partner closely with cross-functional IT operations leadership team across sectors
QualificationsRequirements
Years of Experience : Minimum 7+ years of working in a Network Telecommunications role, with expert level experience with MPLS, SIP, IP, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewalls, etc. technologies Mandatory Technical skills: Bachelor s degree in Computer ScienceEngineering, or related qualification Certifications is a plus (CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE) Ability to coordinate and direct activities across multiple teams Commercial and technical service delivery management experience Excellence in execution through proper prioritization of projects and initiatives Ability to develop solutions within a complex operational environment Advanced knowledge of technicalbusiness environment and problem determination strategies Develops and maintains standard operating procedure manual and processes used by the team Provides appropriate budgets and reports for Network Operations activities to the Operations Director (e.g. headcount, financial, services availability, SLA compliance, capacity planning, etc) Mandatory non-technical skills: Experience of working in a multi-cultural, virtual team, across multiple geographical regions Excellent customer focus and engagement skills Strong project management skills and experience of coordinating of multiple, simultaneous complex tasks Excellent verbal and written communications skills Differentiating Competencies: Considerable knowledge of network-based systems operations and maintenance, including a solid understanding of protocols and tools necessary for effective resolution of maintenance requests and tracking operational processes Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing complex priorities Strong organizational skills and ability to efficiently manage a variety of multiple concurrent projectsissues simultaneously Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience Ability to manage numerous projects and activities simultaneously, ensuring the correct priorities are assigned and initiatives are completed within resource constraints.
