Job Description

*

  • Position Title: Sourcing - Asst. Manager
  • Function: Procurement
  • Reporting to: Sourcing - Operations Manager
  • Job Scope includes:
Assume line management responsibility for a team of typically 8- 10 Buyers/Procurement Specialists who provide support to Procurement processRESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver results throughout the negotiation/contract/payment/reporting
  • Facilitate negotiations and achieve optimal price/performance and price/quality ratio to deliver maximum value and savings
  • Ensures continued compliance with Procurement and Organizational policies, used consistently throughout the process and monitors for regulatory changes that require process control enhancements
  • Exposure on vendor management through the contract lifecycle by monitoring their fulfillment of obligations and services and by performing benchmarking through scorecards, performance metrics and other tools
  • Responsible for the Team to maintain contracts and contract data in globally centralized contract management and expense databases, and ensure colleagues and business partners are trained appropriately on sourcing tools and the contract workflow
  • Takes a lead role in managing assigned projects to continually improve the process for business users and suppliers within the contingent workforce program
  • Handling escalations, continually seeks feedback to improve the end user experience
  • Identify, track, and manage issues, risks, and action-items, while demonstrating consistent follow-through
  • Review operational incidents and ensure timely escalation of such incidents
  • Ensure audit preparedness and identification of self-identified issues
  • Work with Business/Operations to solution BAU issues and contribute towards process excellence
  • Learn, understand, and document business requirements
  • Work closely with stakeholders internally and externally to bring in outside industry standard practices and help procurement team members

  • Deep expertise in strategic procurement & supply chain domain
  • Expert in handling a Team of Buyers
  • Contract interpretation / negotiations experience a benefit
  • Thorough knowledge and expertise in handling Direct and Indirect commodities
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop highly functioning business relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, responsive and be able to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment
  • Proven negotiation skills with a track record of completing complex deals with measurable saves and value
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to priorities tasks, work with schedules / resources while remaining focused on team goals
  • Personal resilience to work within an extremely fast-paced, ambiguous environment and find opportunities to resolve Issues
  • Proactive approach to handling issues, risks, dependencies and escalations
  • Strong inclination to keep him/herself abreast with Industry & Market updates in Procurement & Supply chain function
  • Leadership and collaborative interpersonal skills to engage and motivate team members with good Interpersonal skills;
ExperienceMinimum Required:
  • Possesses 5+ years of experience in Procurement domain (Transportation & Warehousing Operations) with at least 2 Yrs in People Management/Leadership role
Qualifications, Certifications or Designations
  • Graduate
Preferred:
  • CPSM (Certified professional in Supply Management) / SPSM (Senior professional in Supply Management)
