Job Description

    Job TypeInstructional DesignerRole Summary/PurposeThe ID will develop instructional models and prepare engaging training content for GE Grid Software ProductsDesign and develop training material, including but not limited to ILT/VILT, eLearning, activities, assessments etc.Create supporting material/media (audio transcript, video transcript, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)Manage project tasks, coordinate with SMEs, content writers and deliver projects on timeEssential ResponsibilitiesCreate effective training materials mapping the client s needs, such as Instruction-led training/ Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT), web-based training, simulations, videos, courses, curriculum, student guides or training manuals, and performance support content.Conduct Training Needs analysis, Audience Analysis, Develop Training StrategyLiaise with Subject Matter Expert to collate all essential content, gather and review the curated content from the SMEs/client, create Course Outline, Learning Objectives, Evaluation strategies.Work collaboratively with SMEs in creating storyboard for various learning solutions.Write storyboards by understanding the raw content and repurposing it based on audience, content, and other considerations.Create High-level Design Document.Apply Blooms levels of learning when stating course objectives and creating content that matches them.Create visual storyboards with engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer for ILTs and WBTsDevelop standards and templates for the proposed learning solutions.Develop evaluation questionnaires based on the Instructional Design and evaluation strategy.Conduct peer reviews of the training material, plan and organize reviews of the training materials with all key stakeholders.Redesign content, if needed, to ensure it matches the learner s needs.Develop assessment instruments, author WBTs using authoring tools like Articulate, Storyline 360, Rise, Captivate,Maintain project documentation and course folders (course index - complete record of a course for media or any assets - complete record of the asset)Create prototypes (even rapid prototyping) to make the discussions more focused and constructive.Coordinate with project development team.Understand and apply the ADDIE model.Ability to work in an Agile framework.Qualifications/RequirementsGraduate and above (Masters in English/Communicative English/Mass Communication or Diploma/Degree in Instructional Design preferred)Knowledge of tools: MS office suite, Google Suite, Articulate Storyline 360 and Rise (advanced level), Captivate, HTML, CSS.Key personal attribute: Open to learning new skills and tools, awareness of the learning industry latest trends, eye for details, flexibility to adapt to new situations.Strong verbal and written communication skills, consulting abilities.Proven track record collabo,
