Job Description

    Technical Manager Job Purpose The Technical Manager will be responsible for leading and managing different tier of Technical team. This role will manage the day to day operation, training and continuous improvement of current environment with regular upgrades. This is a hands on role and they will directly lead the windows/Vmware technical team, through successful recruitment, performance management, development planning and retention of a high performing members. They must be able to effectively delegate responsibilities to achieve Service Level Management goals and develop and align individuals to the best of their abilities, while ensuring optimal oversight and supervision to ensure goals are achieved and appropriate growth in technical, leadership and team membership skills. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Proficient in handling and managing the critical issues with lead the outage call with regular updates. Possesses good understanding of Windows and VMWare concept to understand the customer requirement. Possesses good experience of preparing, planning and delivering the project on time. Experience in managing the technical team and encouraging them to do better at their job. Effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality and excellence Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of team members and suitably make changes if Required. Resource management skills and ability to handle complex / sensitive issues. Encourage team interaction, boost employee motivation and appreciate team contribution. Ability to match project tasks with opportunities for development so that employee potential is utilized to the maximum. Skills & Abilities: Subject Matter Expert in Windows and VMware administration. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to transfer information easily to team members, stakeholders, and senior managers. Experience with large scale organizational Service Level efforts preferably within the insurance or financial industries. Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships. Organized with an inclination for execution. Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization. Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others. Self starter who is highly motivated and organized. Strong results orientation, with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Effective time management and prioritization skills. Education and Experience 10+ years of Windows and VMware administration team management and leadership experience in an enterprise IT environment, preferably in the financial sector required. Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited university preferred. ITILv3/v4 required PMI certification required.
