Job Description

*Mechanical Engineer with design experience. As a member of the Field Devices Mechanical RD & E team, this role with have a design focus on components and sub-assemblies to provide line support for current product, cost reduction, and continuous improvement projects. This engineer will also work with industrialization groups to bring new designs and products through to production. , *

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and design
  • Experience with industrial field devices, instrumentation and actuators
  • Ability to lead mechanical portion of design projects
  • Working knowledge of mechanical CAD tools and practices (Creo preferred, NX a plus)
  • Working knowledge of drafting practices
  • Knowledge of castings, moldings and machined parts is a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities, tasks and demands
  • Have a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure; persists despite obstacles and opposition
  • Be able to interact and communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Be able to work independently, take initiative and complete tasks to deadlines as required
