Amazon FinOps GAR Academy is looking for a Sr. Instructional Designer / curriculum content developer to create, execute and manage effective training and communication strategy. The ideal candidate has a passion for learning and helping others. They must be self-driven with a high degree of ownership and have strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and planning/program management skills. They must thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a demonstrated capacity to balance speed and quality. The curriculum content developer will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of L&D solutions. The curriculum content developer will work closely with SME s, channel leads, product, engineering and other stakeholders to create impactful content, training approach and manage communications for launches, enhancements and improvements. The role requires an individual who is knowledgeable in adult learning and instructional design strategies for performance-based outcomes, who can innovate, and move quickly.Job Responsibilities: Be the voice of the learner, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of our content efforts and help our team iterate and improve on our content offering. Lead projects through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development, and launch; providing clear timelines through all phases, communicating with key partners, and selecting appropriate measurement for successful implementation. Develop Story Boards for Prototypes/Pilots. Perform Self Reviews and ensure process adherence. Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content. Work with subject matter experts to identify target audiences training needs. Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them. Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process. Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.). Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course. Develops comprehensive measurement strategies for all learning solutions to demonstrate business impact and effectiveness. Communicates effectively in visual, oral, and written form and deliver engaging presentations to business leaders. Designs learning that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners, including the demonstrated understanding of cultural differences that may apply.Understands how to manage and administrate an LMSCollaborates across the enterprise to develop curriculum that will meet the needs of different businesses, Bachelor s Degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design or a relevant field 8 years of relevant experience in Instructional Design, curriculum development Ability to deal with ambiguity and prioritize, manage, and complete projects with tight deadlines Experience conducting a training needs analysis to identify the core problem to be solved in order to achieve desired business results Experience using data to measure the impact of learning interventions Experience with online training development software such as Articulate Storyline, captivate and multimedia software like Vyond Full Proficiency with Microsoft Office products A graduate in any field of study Creative problem solver and strong analytical skills Consistent record of process improvement within the training and development domain Comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment Content development / Instructional design experience Experience using instructional design tools such as Storyline, Captivate is preferred but not mandatory
