Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities:This position should be able to design, plan for and solve complex database issues, such as query performance, data fix, or troubleshooting. This role requires strong T-SQL, ETL operations, and advanced analysis & critical thinking skills. We follow scrum project management, and work assignment is an agile-like approach. We also have developers in the Philippines office, so inter-departmental collaboration and communication are important to ensure on-time delivery of implementations and resolve issues in a timely manner, and should have good knowledge on preparation of documents and presentations for technical solutions.Job Requirements
    • Must have 5+ experience in design and building complex database T-SQL queries
    • Hand-on experience (3+) with Reporting and ETL development (SSRS/SSIS)
    • Hand-on experience (3+) with performance tuning (execution plan), stored procedures, and triggers
    • Understand application/business requirement and contribute to overall better system design
    • Interact with the Cross Functional team actively to understand the requirements and translate to DB work items.
    • Experience with source control system (TFS/GIT) and Azure DevOps
    • Strong understanding of database structure
    • Experience in Automation, Where possible, automate repetitive tasks, with appropriate controls in place for safety.
    • Ability to learn new systems and concepts quickly and able to work with minimal supervision
    • A high degree of self-motivation and ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Bachelors degree with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science
    • Knowledge of SQL Server tools (Profiler, DMVs)
    Responsibility / Day to day activities
    • Excellent understanding of Business requirements and requirement gathering
    • Ability to ask clarification in descriptive and simple to understand
    • Work in Agile environment with aggressive goals in two-week iterations
    • Communicate and manage cross-team dependencies like Identifying relationships between work items, recognizing dependent activities, visualizing those dependencies
    • Peer review of code and technical designs
    • Understand business requirements thoroughly and accurately estimate efforts on projects
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead discussions
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    • High interest to continuously learn new technical solutions
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Strong written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with people at different organizational levels (cross-functional teams like QA, Dev teams and Product Owners)
    • Very good Knowledge on Preparation of documents and Presentations for technical solutions
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
