Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience., Who we Are Oracle Data Cloud (ODC)enables companies to use data to inform and measure business decisions. The team, ODC Platform Engineering, is responsible for the design, implementation, enablement and support of our common cloud infrastructure tools & technologies (eg: Kubernetes, Jenkins, helm, Prometheus.) and all services that ensure our engineering teams have reliable infrastructure at their disposal that solves their problems efficiently. You ll be using Kubernetes, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, GitLab, Jenkins Go and more on a regular basis What we are looking for We re looking for person who is motivated, adaptable, skilled and experienced engineer to join our team. You are skilled in Cloud Native Technologies (Kubernetes is mandatory) skilled in any public cloud (Oracle Cloud , AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).You like a lot of variety in your job, love tackling the hard technology problems that scale introduces, are not fazed by change, and can both think strategically about the future as well as dig deep into problems affecting our users and business today. What you will be doing

• You will be part of ODC platform engineering team working towards devOps best practices around cloud native applications, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Gitlab, Prometheus, Grafana and more.
• Monitor, manage and support our Kubernetes/other infrastructure and the needs of our engineering teams.
• Resolve outages, automate tooling to improve operations and drive Root Cause Analysis.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture reviews.

Requirements:

• Experience in one or more of the following: Go/Python/Groovy/Java
• BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Mandatory Skills Docker, Helm and Kubernetes
• Experience in Public Cloud
• Knowledge in load balancing, distributed systems, software and network security preferred.
• Experience working in Agile Development Environment
• Experience in building and handling large scale CI/CD processes
• Strong experience in Linux Based Infrastructures
• Ability to handle DevOps design and hands on tasks
• Deep Focus, understanding and interest in open source knowledge is good to have.

Ideal Applicants:

• Proficient in Java/Scala/Go/Python/scripting
• Experience with developing cloud-native applications and 12 Factor App principles
• Understanding of Docker and a container orchestration platform like Kubernetes, Mesos/Marathon, or Docker Swarm.
• Understanding of monitoring, alerting and logging frameworks such as Prometheus, ELK and Grafana.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet
• Hands-on On Terraform
• Experience with AWS, GCE, Azure or other public cloud environments
• Experience running platforms at scale is a plus
