Job Description

Responsibility

  • Performs complex product development, systems analysis and programming activities which may require some research and analysis
  • Performs development, implementation and maintenance of single product modules/sub-systems or on lower level issues of multiple products.
  • Performs requirement gathering and prepares Business Requirement Document
  • Prepares technical documentation of product modules/sub-systems.
  • Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
  • Assist with estimation and planning activities
  • Participate in reviewing deliverables from other development teams, including designs, test plans, and documentation help identify and resolve gaps between requirements and technical design
  • Performs complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Researches problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions to the problems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or similar in software engineering or computer science.
  • Typically requires experience of 3+to 8 years of technical experience in product design, development (<the technical skills specific to Mainframe/iSeries/Java/others>)
  • Working knowledge in discreet manufacturing industry ERP process would be preferable
  • Good technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design, programming and implementation.
  • Good analytical and design skills at multiple product level.
  • Good skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation.
  • Good understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
  • Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
Helps to mentor less experienced employees in addition to fostering teamwork
