Job Description

Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Electrical / Mechanical/Mechatronics EngineeringRoles and Responsibilities:
• Lead Electrical & Electro-mechanical service area initiatives by using design engineering knowledge & experience for process innovation/optimization, Automation, business transformation, digitalization for technology adoption and measure success with scorecard.
• Collaborate with various process owners and understand the current value streams and identify process improvement, mistake proofing tools and automation opportunities.
• Drive development of Automation Tools and platforms by collaborating with business and internal /external digital partners.
• Support Delivery and Sales team in building new service offerings and Large Deal proposals in Electrical & Electromechanical Engineering area in terms of Technical solutioning, resource planning and costing in proposal phase.
• Identifying training needs for reskilling & upskilling associates, coordinating with business and L&D teams in driving those trainings in calendar year.
• Work towards emerging technologies in the field and execute Proof-of-concept/Pilot projects, write Whitepapers, Conduct/organize Tech talks.
Mandatory skills:The Electro-Mechanical SME need to possess the following set of skills:
• 10 years in any of the domain (Rail/Automobile/Aerospace) with hands on experience in at least 2 to 3 full Product life cycles execution (Requirements Design Systems Integration - Industrial Engg).
• Prior hands on experience to work on design tools like VPM, PDM, Catia and Solid Works Modules like Sheet Metal Design / Drafting and Harness etc; to work on various product related drawings and documents.
• Expertise in understanding the Electro-mechanical system requirements and translate into design. Thorough knowledge on Sheet metal component design, material and thickness selection.
• Strong knowledge on Design, Install & Integration of electrical systems wire harness-cables, Wire Bundle calculation, selection of protection, connectors, conduit, etc and Equipment s in digital mockup including materials & mechanical characteristics mechanical parts like cable ducts, brackets, etc.
• Competent on Electrical harness modeling in CATIA V5 Electrical harness Routing (EHI) and Electrical Fitting installation.
• Ability to perform a weight assessment on assemblies, aggregates and installations. Analyze manufacturing non-conformity and to validate a back-up solution. Validation of complete Integration of Harness-systems and electrical equipment.
• Strong Knowledge on Electrical and Mechanical Architecture of car/vehicle, Config-Change-Release management, DFA, DFM and Welding-Bending-Fabrication process
• Good knowledge on Electrical Schematics (functional & Wiring), logics & Component selection. EMI-EMC segregation, System Compatibility, shielding, Grounding/Earthing & Bonding, Gauging (Static & Dynamic), AMS, System-Subsystem Engineering and Requirements
• Able to define fasteners, joint design & most suitable design according to the assembly criticality. Understands datasheets related to connectors, Equipment, Terminals, Glands, accessories, etc; & can guide suppliers to optimize designs for weight & Cost
• Knowledge on Welding techniques to understand and meet various drafting standards (BS_EN_ISO_2553) and their representation.
• Knowledge of ISO 1101 & ASME 14.2Y, GD&T (ISO22678) techniques to understand and meet various drafting standards (BS8888).
