Job Description

    Looking for a Full-Time Entertainment Journalist for a Movie Website. Very high knowledge in Telugu Movies and Celebs is a MUST. Responsibilities - Responsible for gathering, researching, producing and presenting news information, articles and stories on Telugu Movies and Celebs in an honest, ethical and balanced manner Collect, analyze and use information from various primary and secondary sources to prepare clean, concise and factual news reports and articles Maintain the records of all relevant supportive evidence (notes, interviews, audio files, etc), used to produce news articles Coordinate with news editors and fellow reporters to develop story ideas for writing articles Coordinate with the Graphic Design team to obtain visual elements for each story with appropriate photos or videos or graphics Conduct, schedule and manage interview appointments in person or over the phone, to gather first-hand information from the industry professionals Building, maintaining and managing contacts with industry professionals in order to gather or review first-hand accounts of events and organizing an outline into a cohesive, interesting story Stay up to date on the latest news developments by attending events; Track entertainment news sources on and offline; Study different papers, opinion pieces and columns related to cinema and entertainment Research, analyze and assess the content style and standards of the competitors at local, national and international level, and suggest improvements in news content generation Ensure that you meet all regular and recurring deadlines to deliver authentic and accurate news information on time Adhere to the editorial and content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of news content every day, week and month Understand and comply with Media law, laws regarding libel and invasion of privacy, and ethical guidelines of the industry Should understand clickable titles and what goes viral on Web and Social Media. Eligibility - Bachelors degree or Diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Creative Writing, or related field Sound knowledge in Telugu Movies. High proficiency in English and Telugu languages Excellent communication, research and networking skills along with an aptitude for extracting information Proven work experience of at least 2-3 years as a Film or Entertainment Journalist Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver the news within the tight deadlines Ability to work independently as well as within a team Possess adequate IQ, EQ, CQ & AQ Knowledge of Content Management Systems A portfolio of published articles or news pieces Ability to follow strict deadlines and fast-check information Integrity and morality Attention to Detail is a MUST Good Organizational and Time Management skills Desired Skills and Experience - Entertainment News Reporting, News Writing, Research, Investigative Reporting, Interviewing, Digital Journalism, Digital Literacy, Reason and Objectivity, Media Analysis, News Content Strategy, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Proofreading, Analytics
