Job Description

    Maintains the inventory, storage, and distribution of equipment. Provides recommendations for purchases of new equipment. Collaborates with other appropriate management staff to prepare and implement budget. Performs other related duties as assigned.An equipment manager is the person in charge of equipment used by a business or organization. We have included equipment manager job description templates that you can modify and use.Sample responsibilities for this position include:Maintain a complete set of records for equipment and parts inventory purchases, equipment conditions, costs of repairs and preventive maintenance for all equipmentDrive equipment engineering team to improve performance, quality, cost, cycle time, and manufacturing robustness of test equipmentOversee the general management and maintenance of equipment maintenance, repair, and storage functions, to include fire control and electronics equipmentThe roles primary emphasis will be on business development and new client acquisition, managing and growing a portfolio of existing Equipment Financing Group client relationshipsAssist with on-site customer visits and hands-on equipment demonstrationsOversee and provide Field and Sustainment level maintenance to include Backup Unit Support levels of maintenance on tactical and commercial ground equipmentEnsure that all employees are properly trained and licensed, if required, prior to their appointment to a position or prior to operating equipment associated with a positionEquipment issue/asset tracking of uniformsEnsures that all equipment is completely inspected at least once a year and is calibrated based on the manufacturers recommendationsEstablishes and monitors preventative maintenance schedule on equipment
