Job Description

The Financial Books and Records (FB&R) team within the Controllers Transformation team is responsible for designing and implementing global ledger infrastructure, processes, and governance to ensure accurate, consistent, and the timely close of Citi s Financial Books & Records.This senior role is within Citi s Finance transformation with a global scope, ideal candidates would have an in-depth knowledge of financial accounting, ledger and close processes gained through extensive experience in Finance Transformation or Technology role at Citi or a similar institution.The Financial Solutions Lead Analyst will be expected to provide both strategic and operational thought leadership over the FB&R transformation with the ability to lead and influence a wide number of stakeholders, virtual and matrix teams at VP (Vice President) level. The Lead Analyst must feel comfortable navigating complex and ever-changing environments with the ability to educate and persuade senior stakeholders.Responsibilities:Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:
• Support the definition and execution of FB&R transformation strategy and related workstreams including Process, Controls and Reporting
• Work with existing FB&R platforms to identify key use cases and user stories for integration into defining the Strategic Process, Controls and Reporting design for the Oracle platform and advise on the roadmap to decommission legacy platforms, capabilities, and processes
• Partner with the Finance Data Initiative to coordinate alignment of FB&R and Data transformation priorities
• Cooperate with General Ledger and Accounting workstreams to coordinate alignment of Ledger and Chart of Account design including the Sub-Ledger design strategy
• Work closely with Financial Control, Product Control, Valuation Control, Tax and Operational stakeholders to identify further transformation opportunities related to closing and substantiating our legal entities and group consolidation
• Participate in Strategic Ledger governance and lead workstream deliverables
• Manage workstream intra- and inter-dependencies across stakeholder groups including System Integrators
• Handle workstream level metrics and business cases including risk reduction and efficiency measures
• Contribute to workstream communications, prepare and present FB&R updates to senior management forums
• Involve in configuration, testing, training, and transition activities of Finance Process, Controls and Reporting and provide inputs to defining the future state service delivery model
Qualifications:
• 6-10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or related field in the Financial Services industry
• Good knowledge of Oracle Ledger processes and capabilities only beneficial
• Prior experience of implementing global Financial Processes, Controls and Reporting solutions
• Good experience in process re-engineering / improvement design and implementation of finance solutions using commercial Cloud technologies
• Understanding of accounting concepts related to US GAAP and IFRS standards
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint for presentation development
• Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized
Education:
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or related field desired
