Job Description

    Objective of the Role: -To lead the entire gamut of Sales & Marketing operations of theorganization such as strategic planning, preparation & execution of budgets, and managing ofState Heads/vertical Heads and Marketing Team.Roles & Responsibilities1. Understand the dairy business by coordinating with the business verticals like production,quality, finance and HR dept.2. Understand the 5 year business plan of DDL and formulate Sales strategies to drive top linegrowth in domestic market and prepare innovative plans to achieve higher value realization,brand management, go to market and prepare promotion strategies for various existing / newproducts.3. Develop sales plans, strategies, and policies with a view to increase/sustain market share andprofitability.4. Have effective implementation and monitoring mechanism to ensure achievement of the Salesplans and strategies.5. Formulate policies and guidelines for smooth functioning and satisfaction of channel partnerslike dealers, distributors and stockiest.6. Scan the environment to understand competitors activities, demand supply scenario,regulatory issues to formulate strategies for increasing market share.7. Ensure an increased market share and profitability by facilitating market development, brandmanagement and business development. Focus on business development through domesticmarkets (defined geographies) and building the brand of the company in the domestic market8. Continuously monitor the pricing patterns within the market, checking the prices for the desiredproducts regularly with respect to their competitiveness and value as perceived by thecustomers, deciding upon pricing from time to time on a need basis to ensure the products aresold with highest recoveries possible.9. Initiate market intelligence system to provide monthly information to Top Management onpotential data, competitors- activities, new product opportunities and other changes in theenvironment.10. Evolve policies for establishing a robust field force monitoring and people management,relationship management system in order to increase field force satisfaction and portfolio growth.11. Managing the complete sales cycle from business development and customer acquisition toreceipt of payments.Key Accountabilities: -- Meeting sales targets & objectives.- Market share growth - Strengthening & expanding distribution network.- Identification & development of new markets.- Implementation of initiatives and Sales & Marketing strategies, Retail strategy, Modern Trade,HoReCa Sales.- Relationship building & Customer Satisfaction with key accounts / Stockists.- Cost Optimization in sales operations.- Development of a market intelligence/ information system.- Training, development & monitoring of sales & distribution personnel.
