Job Description

    Java/IBM MQ Infrastructure Engineer : This role is a great opportunity for a hands-on technical lead engineer, involving technical direction in shaping the Firm wide Messaging and Integration Strategy, day to day development of user-stories, L3 support escalation in a DevOps framework, providing technical consultancy/support to internal Application Development Team. Responsibilities include:
    • Strong technical skills with proficiency in IBM MQ Series problem determination, technical consultation , SSL certificate renewals
    • Technical consultancy to internal Application Development Teams for MQ
    • Development of New Features and Enhancements to the Managed Service applications within the group
    • Coding, Compiling, Unit testing, integration, packaging and deployment of developed software using Java/J2EE or Python etc
    • Ensure overall quality of deliverables is consistent with defined standards and Agile development practice
    • L3/L4 support for complex technical issues with the managed service applications and supported products
    Essential Skills:
    • 8 years+ of demonstrated experience with IBM MQ , DevOps and Java/J2EE
    • MQSeries problem determination and consultation
    • Experience in Systems Engineering, Software Development and Application Integration
    • Experience in client onboarding activities and leading the teams
    • Effective client engagement skills
    • UNIX shell scripting
    • Experience in one or more of the programming languages ( Python, Ansible etc.)
    • Development experience on Linux platform
    • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
    • Self-motivated and responsible
    • DevOps experience and Working experience on CI/CD process
    • Experience in Production support environment to attend and work on critical severity issues.
    • Experience in working on RCA documentation.
    • Experience in system and software security and entitlements (SSO, windows, Kerberos, LDAP, Windows AD)
    • Experience in SSL/TLS.
    • Ability to work on E2E Automation using programming languages.
    • Experience to support internal & external audits
    • Knowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are met
    • Ability to work in a highly energetic global environment showing ability to quickly overcome technical challenges and respond appropriately.
    • Strong communication and verbal skills as individual will be required to work closely with clients, users and managers
    • AWS knowledge / Experience
    Desirable Skills:
    • Exposure to various monitoring tools.
    • Exposure to ticketing tools
    • Exposure to Middleware / integration products
    • SRE
    • Exposure to Kafka
