Job Description

    Description Details:
    • 5+Yrs of experience in Linux Server Administration.
    • Good Knowledge on Red hat & SUSE Linux.
    • Experience with backups, restores and recovery models Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options
    • Experience working with various OS platforms Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
    • Excellent written and verbal communication Flexible, team player, get-it-done personality Ability to organize and plan work independently
    • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
    • Ability to multi-task and context
    • switch effectively between different activities and teams
    Responsibilities:
    • Installation, Configuration and Maintenance of Linux based physical / virtual servers.
    • Hands on experience in patch management on the Linux servers.
    • Work with the application support team to help them identify OS level requirements as and when required
    • Manage network, firewall, and routing configuration on Linux Servers.
    • Good troubleshooting skills to manage system hardware, network, and operating system problems
    • Good understanding of the ITIL process
    • Participate in business meetings with various stakeholders on a need basis
    • Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders.
    • Perform RCA for Major Incidents related to his / her tower and follow the quality/security process defined for the engagement.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work on multiple initiatives and projects
    • The Linux Admin will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of the applications.
    • This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
