If you have this type of passion, we invite you to take a look at the opportunities available to come join our team.As a member of the Client Performance Team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the performance verification and optimization of AMD s next generation APUs. This position will involve developing and executing SOC-level RTL verification testplans to ensure that AMD s products achieve performance goals. It will also involve the development of tools and methodologies for running tests, evaluating results and debugging issues.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, document and execute RTL verification testplans for evaluating SOC performance
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and evaluate potential improvements
  • Work with architects and designers to debug functional and performance issues
  • Generate performance summary reports
  • Execute architectural studies to evaluate new features and performance optimizations
  • Develop, maintain and support performance verification infrastructure, including models, scripts, analysis tools, etc.
Skills and Experience RequirementsSome or all of the following qualifications are strongly preferred:
  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with ASIC hardware design and verification languages/tools (Verilog, System Verilog, System C, OVM/OVC)
  • Proficiency with programming and scripting languages (C/C++, Perl, Python, etc.)
  • Microarchitecture knowledge of a CPU, GPU, DSP, multimedia co-processor, I/O subsystem, and/or DRAM controller
