Job Description

    Role : Postgresql DBAExp : 5-8YrsLocation : Chennai/Bangalore/Mumbai/Pune/HydSkills and Qualifications:1.Strong experience in PostgreSQL and MongoDB database administration, with at least 6 years of experience in both On Prem and Cloud.2.Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including RDS, Mongo Atlas & AWS CLI.3.Excellent knowledge of database monitoring, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.4.Familiarity with cloud database technologies, particularly AWS.5.Experience with data integrations, data syncs, and data migrations.6.Knowledge of database CI/CD tools and implementation.7.Strong understanding of database security management, performance improvement and best practices.8.Familiarity with other databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and Snowflake is a plus.9.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide On-Call support for production databases.10.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.11.Knowledge of Snowflake and Python or PowerShell scripting is highly desirable.Responsibilities:1. Install, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL and MongoDB database software on Linux-based AWS/On-Prem environments.2. Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance of databases.3. Develop and implement backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery.4. Provide system and SQL performance tuning to optimize database performance and query execution.5. Assist in business process integration with various data sources, including data integrations, syncs, and migrations.6. Provide On-Call coverage for production support and troubleshooting, including problem resolution and customer support.7. Develop database automation scripts using Python and/or PowerShell for system automation and integration.8. Fine-tune configurations of both MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases for performance improvement.9. Work with development teams to address and resolve database-related issues, including query tuning.10. Implement and manage database security measures, ensuring data protection and compliance with regulations.11. Plan and execute database upgrades, evaluating and improving transaction processing models.12. Document all database procedures, guidelines, and best practices.13. Manage data exporting and importing across different database systems.14. Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) plans and high availability (HA) solutions.15. Provide best practice guidance to the development team regarding database design and usage.16. Optimize database and query performance for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
