Our industry focus includes aerospace and defence, healthcare, telecommunications, rail transportation, semiconductor, geospatial, industrial, and energy.Job DescriptionRole description:Looking for SME(s) to drive large multi-million dollars, multi-disciplinary projects in the field of Utilities network data management from a technical solution perspective. It is a high visibility role where the individual will be empowered to define the necessary processes, partner with customers and teams and ensure technical objectives of the project are achieved. Typical projects involve data conversion, migration, conflation, maintenance of utilities network data which are derived from various sources with large utilities and such sources include legacy maps, work order sketch, as-builts, COTS or county land base, LiDAR and other digital or non-digital sources.Responsibilities
• Play Leadership of the Utilities practice team to work on the existing services (such as data cleanup, conversion, conflation, maintenance, and migration, etc.) and new service offerings (such as smart data services, field data collection, mobile workforce management, outage management systems, etc.) with the existing as well as with prospective customers thru technical support, PoCs (proof-of-concept), and capability building efforts, etc.
• Play the role of a subject matter expert and work with the team on development of project execution process or solution framework for the various data management projects (Conversion / Conflation / Maintenance / Migration)
• Finalization of the various project guidelines such as goals, specs, business rules, processes, technologies, skill sets, timelines, quality parameters, quality evaluation criteria, and SLAs, etc
• Responsibility for the pre-sales activities such as: propose solutions, project sizing, coordination of PoCs or pilot projects, and all the related documentation (statement of qualification, capability documents, case studies, presentations, and white papers)
• Evaluation of the existing scenario (processes, practices, technologies, applications, and systems) to create an as is baseline and visualization of the business requirements as well as the to be scenario
• Analysis of the customer issues and concerns, industry trends, and regulatory standards and compliances, etc. and provide thought leadership and guidance in their Smart Grid endeavor
• Play a key role in development of proposal preparation in terms of process definition / solution framework, estimation, risk identification, assumptions etc.
• Recommendation of a possible roadmap (comprising of processes, technologies, applications, and systems) to get to the to be scenario
• Be a partner to delivery teams, sales teams and customer and drive resolution of technical challenges during set-up, execution and final delivery
• Consultative interaction with the client about the various possible solutions, zeroing in on the most appropriate solution as part of the solution architecting, and development of the solution architecture
• Coach and mentor team members on technical aspects and groom future technical leaders in the team
• Proactively identify project risks (technical) and define appropriate actions to mitigate the same
• Be a thought leader in this space and help the organization define new services / frameworks that can be taken to the market
• Identify opportunities for automation by leveraging the latest software and digital technologies
Required skills
• Should have at least 10 years of hands-on experience in data management processes (Conversion / Conflation / Maintenance / Migration)
• Should possess good domain understanding with electric & gas network assets and experience on handling spatial and non-spatial data
• Good understanding on ESRI ArcFM / Smallworld / GTECH / EUN technologies and data models
• Demonstrable experience to be able to assess / refine data management processes
• Should have travelled to customer locations and be able to conduct technical workshops / requirement gathering sessions
• Demonstrable experience in
  • Defining project execution process or solution framework for the various data management projects (Conversion / Conflation / Maintenance / Migration)
  • carry out estimations in terms of schedule and efforts
  • Development of resource plans
• Very good oral and written communication skills. Especially should be able to partner with customers and walk them thru the processes.
• Experience in use of ESRI UN, GE Small world and other GIS systems will be important
• Strong collaborator and go getter with high level of ownership
• Should be able to work across different time-zones (Either early morning with Australia or late evening with US Pacific time zone)
• Should be based in Hyderabad, India
• Be able to travel for project discussions, as needed (up to 10% time)
