Job Description

Principal Engineering Manager (65+)As an Engineering Manager, you ll help build a team of highly-capable technical engineers to help deliver on this amazing business opportunity and more importantly, you ll be a cultural leader to help drive a diverse and inclusive team environment. You will have the opportunity to bring delightful, polished, end to end experiences to life on our large screen collaborative devices. You will also play a key role in open-ended explorations, prototyping and identifying business opportunities for the next wave of future devices - and were looking for strong technical leaders to bring their passion,drive and technical acumen. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • At least12 years of experience designing, building and shipping software at scale, with 5+ years of team leadership
  • Proven track record of recruiting, retaining and engaging toptalent
  • Experience with driving complex, highly distributed (yet integrated) software + hardwareprojects
  • Ability to work well with partner team members across the globe to design and implement features/components with high quality (across geographies), and flexibility to travel to the Redmond office2-3 times per year
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Being deeply data driven for decision making
  • Deep customer empathy and focus on delivering high-quality customerexperiences
  • Excellent C/C++ design/architecture skills with expertise in leading teams in Windows development a plus
  • Proactive and self-motivated, and willingness to take on challenging technicalissues
, RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
  • Familiarity with building UI using XAML/WPF/UWP is a plus!
  • Experience shipping device-based projects and enterprise-focused experiences is a bonus!
