Job Description The Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group (AECG) is looking for a Principal SoC Architect for the development of next generation SoCs. In this role, you will be responsible for architecture development of processor subsystems, interconnect technology, and I/O peripherals. You will develop novel technology and SoC architecture solutions, write specifications, analyze PPA (performance, power and area) tradeoffs, and work with planning, architecture & development teams.
    • Develop specifications of the SoC architecture for next generation of devices
    • Develop novel architecture solutions for processor-system, interconnect, and peripherals.
    • Analyze performance, power and area tradeoffs, and specify their requirements
    • Work with marketing and development teams to ensure the SoC meets requirements.
    Job Requirements
    • Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in related area
    • Strong analytical problem solving, and attention to details
    • Strong foundation in SoC architecture, interconnect and I/O peripherals
    • Knowledge of interconnect protocols such as ARM AXI and CHI
    • Knowledge of automotive, networking, machine learning, and data-center acceleration, including FPGA based acceleration.
    • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, Python, Perl
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated and a team player
    Additional desirable skills and experience
    • Knowledge of ARM Processors, and Interconnect
    • Knowledge of SoC, FPGA and ML/AI Accelerators
    • Memory systems and system-level QOS
    • Boot, reset, security, and power management
    • System safety and reliability
