The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and a passion for managing a diverse team of engineers and helping them grow. A candidate who can effectively operate their team in a distributed development setup, working with other teams across time zones. A leader who can bring clarity, create energy, and drive results you ll set a vision, rally the team behind it, and deliver for our customers. You ll plan and prioritize work for your team, including collaborating with partner organizations.A successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of next set of services, features and developer tools that will define how modern applications are developed and hosted on Azure.This is a unique opportunity to work on large scale distributed systems and drive initiatives that are key to Microsofts cloud strategy. ,

• 5+ years as an engineering manager
• 8+ years of industry experience in software development and building world class solutions.
• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience in technical leadership in driving engineering roadmaps, leading v-teams, mentoring and helping others grow technically.
• Track record of attracting, hiring, growing, and retaining top talent and working with distributed teams.
• Commitment to collaboration and teamwork and ability to deliver via influence.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands on experience with distributed systems and services in the cloud.
• Experience with .NET based systems is a plus.
• Experience with public cloud services including Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Linux, Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
