We have an opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of whats possible.As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase in Consumer & Community Banking in Home Lending team, you are an integral part of an agile team with a focus on Java, Microservice and cloud-based software solutions. As part of the development team, the candidate will work to deliver high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing innovative and strategic applications. The role will involve design and development with Java and database technologies as well as HTML5/JavaScript products as part of building out the new strategic platform. Youll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. Job responsibilities
• Designs, analyzes, develops, codes, and debugs programming to satisfy business requirements. Work as part of a Scrum team to deliver technology solutions in an Agile fashion
• Provide with guidance and resources for delivering high quality, high touch service to service teams, managers and clients
• Participates in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations. Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies.
• Should be able to Manage teams daily work volumes and transactions accurately, within established deadlines, and in accordance with existing policies and procedures. Reinforce and comply with regulations, policies and procedures
• Coordinate all recruiting efforts to maintain staffing level at the site. Provide leadership surrounding HR matters, talent development, and disciplinary action. Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback via informal discussions, quarterly/semi-annual performance meetings and the annual review process
• Participate in the continuing strategic development of the support operating model, and help validate proposed ideas/plans prior to implementation
• Lead through a matrix organization to influence positive outcomes in areas such as onboarding, training, technology, and quality assurance. Communicate timely status on development items to management team, as well as raise/work to resolve issues impacting development.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Bachelor s or Master s degree preferred with 10+ years of relevant experience preferably with a large financial institution.
• Strong hands on experience in Cloud technologies. Strong coding experience in Java/Python
• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines. Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets. Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
• Ability to work in large, collaborative multiple teams to achieve organizational goals. Passionate about building an innovative culture
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
• Strong leadership and management abilities; must be able to think strategically. Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills; must be able to diffuse conflicts diplomatically; highly professional and experienced in creating and presenting information to large audiences at various levels of the organization. Proven experience in a leadership capacity, ability to motivate at an individual and team level, experience overseeing other managers preferred.
