As a Product Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating intuitive user experiences and collaborating with passionate partners from various streams like user research, engineering, and product management. • You will estimate individual work delivery schedules and define various product design needs. Utilizing a variety of perspectives, you will then ideate solutions for improving product designs and build prototypes for new products.
• You will collaborate with Engineering and perform QAs to ensure design quality. Under guidance, you ll also contribute to visual designs by producing the visual language for a product.
• With direction, you will create wireframes, journey maps, and other elements to support interaction design. You ll also participate in product UX improvements by creating interaction models.
• You will clearly communicate your work to peers and managers within your immediate team. Working alongside a senior team member, you will also create a compelling narrative for a specific product or feature.
• You will help creative team members, program managers, and developers define product features. You ll participate in one study at a time as you help deliver product design results.
, Required Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Design (e.g., user experience, HCI, graphic) or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Proven record of impact on products with design and user experience activities.
• Ability to think creatively and critically about design problems.
• Demonstrated ability to synthetize design solutions from ambiguous concepts.
• Enthusiasm for an iterative design process.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present your work to peers across disciplines.
• Comfortable and enthusiastic about working in a complex product space.
• Fluent in current design tools (Figma, Adobe CC, etc.)
A portfolio review presentation is required to interview for this role. Your presentation should communicate your work experience and demonstrate your design and communication skills.Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will require passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
