Job Description

    Job summaryThe Bad Actor Disincentives (BAD) team is responsible for removing the incentive for Bad Actors while accurately and fairly paying millions of third-party sellers along with disrupting the bad actor flywheel and change the economics of abuse within our store. The team works to ensure that bad actors cannot profit from using our services to abuse customers, selling partners and Amazon. To accomplish this mission, we withhold funds from bad actors, deny our fulfilment network to bad actors as a means to scale their abuse and ensure that counterfeit / illegal inventory is destroyed, prevent seller credit abuse, identify and disrupt bad actor spare accounts, and generate insights to help CTPS understand where bad actors are prioritizing their efforts. While we obsess over customers, we specialize in obsessing over bad actors to identify their friction points and multiply them exponentially in ways that don t impact good sellers. Our vision is to ensure Bad Actors never receive a dollar from selling on Amazon and abusing our policies. This is done with minimal friction for good sellers, clearly communicated policies, and accurate calculations. If we successfully achieve our vision, then Bad Actors will stop committing misconduct on Amazon.BAD Research and Intelligence Specialists perform quality audits, identify the root cause of the defects where bad actors have profited from misconduct or abusive sales which resulted in bad seller experience for genuine sellers and generate insights to help program leaders understand where bad actors are prioritizing their efforts.In order to accomplish this, this team will be capable of working on high judgement investigations.Key job responsibilities1. Performs audits based on high judgement to identify hard/soft defects or process gaps.2. Performs peer review of tasks/deliverables wherever applicable3. Creates, updates learning modules and support business owners in driving improvements to ensure defect reduction.4. Identifies & manages small to mid-scale process improvement opportunities at process or team level.5. Communicates to business leaders on pre-defined guidelines with data and resolves issues with reduced guidance.6. Work in sync with Data resources and create daily / weekly / monthly quality reports for the process and team based on set requirements.7. Tracks and reports progress on key goals specific to the program.8. Adheres to set targets on productivity and quality.9. Manages escalations on routine and predefined tasks with minimal supervision.10. Learns new tools / SOPs / processes with minimal supervision.About the teamWe collect intelligence across BAD programs through research, analysis and quality control. We identify and monitor bad actor trends and enforce their rings, dive deep on abusive accounts and share lessons learned with partner teams. We do this by generating insights to understand where bad actors are prioritizing their efforts. We will have numerous opportunities to earn leadership positions. These leadership opportunities will be earned based on performance, specifically the ability to deliver accurate, comprehensive investigations with detailed, initiatives to improve the process and ownership towards the program goals.,
    • Minimum 18 months of CTPS investigations experience (Preferably POE Authentication, Abuse Prevention), or 12 months of experience in Quality domain.
    • Written and verbal communication skills including the ability to comfortably engage with internal and external customers
    • Leverages team knowledge across several specialty areas to help resolve recurring customer issues
    • Demonstrate the ability to self-manage on priority tasks and objectives
    • Fast learner who seeks out and generously shares best practices
    • Ability to follow the data wherever it goes and make an accurate decision.
    • Ability to conduct difficult, comprehensive investigations and leave detailed, thoughtful annotations and identify the real root cause of the problem.
    • Ability to drive continuous process improvements.
    • Ability to support business owners in creating the detailed investigation summary related to executive/legal escalations.
    • Work with MI specialist to build quality dashboards/Reports.
    • 18 months experience on Quality management for POE, Authentication Team, Abuse Prevention or fraud related teams.
    • Document vetting experience related to identity and supply chain verification
    • Ability to think beyond the SOP and recommend the RIGHT outcome.
    • Team oriented individuals who care about the greater good.
