Senior Cloud Architect - United KingdomPosting Location : Location GB-RemotePosting date 2 days ago(3/16/2022 10:58 AM)Job ID 94861 Workday ID R-023590 Category Consulting About the job The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join us in the U.K. In this role, you will work at the customer site as a subject matter expert in Red Hats infrastructure and cloud technology. Youll answer questions about best practices around reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups, as well as lead the on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hats technology that delivers freedom, flexibility, and performance. As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will gain understanding of customer infrastructures and business issues and make recommendations appropriate to their environments. What you will do
• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
• Learn about new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs
• Adapt to changing customer requirements
• Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner
What you will bring
• Several years of experience working in a consulting role; ability to deliver in one-on-one assignments
• Excellent knowledge of infrastructure technologies on a delivery level
• Experience implementing virtualization technologies in an enterprise setting and with enterprise-wide deployments
• Practical delivery experience with infrastructure and cloud topics
• Knowledge of one or more of Red Hats infrastructure solutions like Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform or Red Hat Ansible Tower, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, or Red Hat OpenShift
• Foundational awareness of modern application development practices and the software delivery life cycle
• Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and guide customer interactions
• Excellent written and verbal language skills in English
• Understanding of the open source community
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and planning skills
• Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time, following Red Hat s COVID-19 guidelines
• Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification is a plus
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or the ability to get it within a few weeks of being hired, is a plus
