Job Description

Dear Candidate,Greetings From Orbis Service!Job Title: Senior Commercial AnalystDEPARTMENT/TEAM: CommercialREPORTS TO: Commercial ManagerKEY RESPONSIBILITIESIt is envisaged that the Senior Commercial Analyst role will have a broad commercial contract management and regulatory remit as described below, however, due to changing business needs this may vary:

  • Review of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) contracts to extract core information required for the company in-house contract management system (AMP), including but not limited to:
o Land/property agreements e.g. Leases and Purchase Deedso Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)o Insuranceo Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) Conditions Subsequento Operations and maintenance (O&M)o Management Services Agreements (MSA)o Loan Facility Agreementso Warrantieso Community Benefit (as apart of CSR and ESG initiatives)
  • Operational contractual management of the contracts listed above with appropriate action and working with stakeholders to resolve issues. This would include but not limited to drafting and issuing formal contractual notices; raising insurance claims and working with loss adjustors to settle; reviewing O&M scope to ensure compliance and taking any necessary action; contract termination; contract competitive tendering and renewals; and managing community / CSR / ESG initiatives and associated reporting.
  • Maintaining compliance with contracts and regulatory requirements including drafting and issuing formal notices/communications, and if required, investigating non-compliance and resolution.
  • Assisting with SPV regulatory and governmental interfaces including monthly data submissions, annual certifications and requests for information and audits.
  • Assisting with revenue accruals and working with Finance and Technical teams.
  • Updating AMP with all contract information and relevant costs, obligation/condition timelines as required to ensure no contractual breaches.
  • Client management and reporting as required.
  • Working with software providers to develop AMP and to optimize contract information available.
  • Onboarding new assets and entering all relevant contract information to ensure full compliance of the asset into AMP and drafting the Onboarding Review & Operating Plans.
  • Supporting the contract liability (e.g. Final Acceptance Certification) processes in terms of relevant in-house compliance support to reach desired commercial outcomes.
  • Supporting annual Asset Operating Plans with relevant contract management information and reviews.
  • Supporting the clients UK, Italian and US commercial teams from time to time.
  • Ad-hoc commercial projects.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • 4-6 years experience working in renewable energy asset management
  • Experience of working with regulatory and governmental bodies associated with renewable energy generation
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
  • Accuracy with information and submissions
