Job Description

Location : Hyderabad.If you are interested then please share your CV to pooja.sharma@shriramlife.comRoles andPOSTION: SENIOR EQUITY ANALYST IN THE BAND OF DY. MANAGER TO MANAGER WITH A POTENTIAL TO GROW AS FUND MANAGER IN COUPLE OF YEARS SECTOR AGNOSTIC: BUT PRIMARY FOCUS ON IT & PHARMA. Should be flexible to consider other sectors if requiredBRIEF DESCRIPTION : The candidate needs to conduct the basic equity research of investee companies. Associate job description in providing analysis of securities data to inform fund manager and aid them in the investment process.Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse company financial results and model estimated future results
  • Conduct a detail research on the assigned sectors by interacting with industry experts , company management and government officials to garner a greater understanding of the sector and identify investment opportunities based on the global trends, macro-economic factors, competitor analysis, and other sector specific filters.
  • Identify and evaluate the investment opportunities and recommend the right investments to the fund manager based on the detailed fundamental analysis including modeling, forecast the earnings, ratio analysis and valuations. All recommendation and analysis has to be documented.
  • Cultivate strong relationship with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare pre and post result updates on the analysts covered companies. Attend and report on corporate events, company presentations and conferences.
  • The invested stocks to be tracked on top priority and suggest timely recommendation to add or sell the stock into the portfolio. The analyst has to monitor and track the quarterly and annual earnings of the company and document the same. Based on the quarterly results and management commentary, the analysts has to review his/her forecasts of the company and make the necessary changes to the recommendation.
  • Analyst should also prepare market commentary and periodically write the sector and stock report and coordinate with the sales/product team to circulate the same to the policy holders
  • Assisting with company IPO, including a stock value, capitalization and target price
  • Provide detailed internal investment reports as well as external reports for public presentation
Competencies required
  • Aptitude for research especially understanding of business models and converting the same into an effective and dynamic financial model. Needs to have modelling and valuation skills
  • Holistic perspective with an eye for detail
  • Understanding of the financial markets and interplay of all the factors impacting Indian equity market
  • Needs to have Relationship Management skill and decision making skills

Qualification requirements:
  • CA/ CFA or MBA in finance.
  • Between 5 -7 years of prior experience as an equity analyst
  • Prior experience in an insurance industry / mutual fund will be an added advantage Responsibilities
