Microsoft s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.Microsoft Cloud business is growing at a very fast pace and the supply chain to fulfill capacity needs for capacity hungry Cloud business is getting complex with new scenarios emerging continuously. The need to find solutions leveraging engineering mindset has never been stronger. We are fulfilling capacity needs from public clouds, sovereign clouds, specialized workloads, each going through high growth. We have a goal to be a Top 25 supply chain in the world in the next 3 years and are looking for people who can get innovative in solution envisioning, have a high bias for action and obsess over customer experience. Problem solutions can span from building world class customer experience in self-serve capacity management, intelligently fulfilling capacity in any world location by matching customer demand across millions of customers with incoming supply, late binding decisions to mitigate shortages, applying mathematical optimization and machine learning etc. In summary, there is no shortage of problems for engineering solutions.We have a fantastic opportunity in the CSCP Strategy & Transformation organization for a proven Senior Program Manager to help build engineering systems that optimally deliver capacity and continuously protect the capacity experience of Microsoft s Cloud customers.Own program management accountability to define and launch the product capabilities that drive the desired business outcomes. Engage with customers and partners to deeply understand the requirements and develop the product roadmap to address those needs. Uses expertise on customer/partner and competitor strengths and weaknesses to articulate an approach that will differentiate the product, establish a competitive advantage, and appeal to customers. Break ambiguous and complex problems into a manageable list of epics and features with clearly articulated specs. Applies a strategic understanding of the timing and rationale for design choices for feature areas. Closely partner with the software engineering teams to land key product capabilities and business goals. Proactively identify critical risks to the product roadmap and KPIs and mitigate those risks by working across all the teams. Continuously engage with customers, partners, and leadership to provide updates on product roadmap and collect actionable feedback. Identify critical data and telemetry required to optimize the product functionality, and work with engineering teams to grow the required data footprint. Manage metrics, dashboards, and analytics that track the performance of the product capabilities against the goals and optimize the product functionality to drive the right performance. Perform rich analysis and develop actionable insights using a variety of data sets., Minimum Required Qualifications:BS in Engineering or Computer Science or Quantitative fields or equivalent experience 8-12+ years combined experience into Program Management, Data Science, Operations Research, Software Development, technical/engineering role(s). 5+ years of experience leading program management and/or implementing automation systems.Preferred Qualifications:MS degree in a quantitative field 1+ year strong data analysis skills leveraging SQL, Power BI, Kusto, Python, R. 1+ year demonstrated scripting and/or programming skills in C#, Python, R or PowerShell. Proven experience in collaborating across engineering, business, and operational teams. Proven experience working with program & project management methodologies and practices Strong written communication and presentation skills. Ability to quickly learn existing concepts and employ new techniques. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
